Javi Laparra

Well, there’s not much to say about me, really! That’s why you are not going to see lots of writing from me. Anyway, if you are reading this, it means that you are really interested in my work... and I thank you for that...and for that interest mentioned above, I’m gonna start with my name.... I’m Javi Laparra, 26 years old now, bout to become 27! Oh my god!

I’m from Guatemala C.A. I studied at the School of fine arts here in Guatemala (ENAP) for five years plus some specializations in human anatomy, painting with oil, acrylic, watercolor, crayons, and their several ways to work with. Actually I was hoping to find during all those years at the School of arts, some opportunities to learn something about comics, and some digital courses, ever got that kind of knowledge in there, but they really gave me the basics to start looking for the things I really wanted, and here is when I began to work with, Photoshop!! The number 1 software and my right hand, and as a 3rd hand PainterIx... I used to sit in front of the pc just practicing, practicing, and drawing, with my mouse!! jajaj Wasn’t easy!, and now I spend much more hours coloring and drawing jajaja!!

Later on I began to read tutorials, lots of them, and working with them at the same time, and that’s how I started with the coloring thing, I have been trying to be good at that for 4 or 3 years I guess, I’m not sure I’m really bad with the flashbacks.

And now I’m gonna be working with Project4 Studios!! And I know you guys and girls are gonna love the material!

And the real good thing in this field is that I will never stop learning, and there’s a lot of things to do, cant wait to see all those good things to come, that’s why I love comics!!!
